Music To Your Ears

Lately, I’ve been noticing a trend among bloggers. They’d put some music player on the sidebar of their blog, and every time someone goes onto their blog, the player will start playing a preset tune.

Which is actually kinda cool, unless you open like, 4 blogs (which all, coincidentally, have music players) at the same time, and then all the music players start up at the same time, and the speaker starts blaring gibberish.

Or if that song isn’t your favourite.

And people think they’re so fabulous, just because they come in all shapes and sizes. Seriously! Like this:

Come on, people! Do you even realize how annoying these things are? If you even think for one second that readers would enjoy the music then you’re dead wrong because the first thing we usually do is hunt down that player and turn it off whenever we enter your blog. Word of advice: make it an option to turn the player on, instead of turning it off. Then maybe you’d attract more readers for a change.

Now wouldn’t that be nice?
